At Daibudō Kodenkan Matsuno Kenshūkai, our instructors bring decades of dedicated martial arts experience and a deep respect for traditional teachings. Instruction emphasizes technical accuracy, personal responsibility, and preservation of the arts as they were intended.

David Shemwell Sensei

DAVID SHEMWELL Sensei — David Shemwell Sensei is a 6th degree black belt with over 40 years of martial arts training and teaching experience. He leads the dojo with a strong focus on preserving the authentic techniques, values, and traditions of Danzan Ryū Jujutsu and Shorin Ryū Karate Do. He also holds a Shodan in Taihojitsu from the Kodenkan Yudanshakai, awarded in 1989 under Shihan Vinson Holck, and brings additional background in defensive tactics instruction from certified training programs completed in the late 1980s, including the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET).


Wayne Sebring Sensei

WAYNE SEBRING Sensei — Wayne Sebring Sensei is a 6th degree black belt with over 40 years of martial arts experience. He specializes in Shorin Ryū Karate Do and emphasizes discipline, technical precision, and personal growth in every class.


Eric Corrales Sensei

ERIC CORRALES Sensei — Eric Corrales Sensei is a 2nd degree black belt and instructor of Danzan Ryū Jujutsu. He supports the dojo’s mission by providing consistent, quality instruction and helping students develop strong fundamentals and continued progress.


David Lindsay Sensei

DAVID LINDSAY Sensei — David Lindsay Sensei is a 5th degree black belt with more than 50 years of martial arts experience. He trains in both Danzan Ryū and Shorin Ryū Karate Do. Having trained in dojos across the country, he brings broad experience and deep technical knowledge that strengthens our instructional program.
